How can I look back at the original content?

Viewing the source of your recipes

Updated over a month ago

Stashcook saves recipes from a variety of sources—websites, photos, videos, and more. The way you look back at the original recipe depends on where it came from.

Looking back at a web page
There are two ways to view the original web content:

  1. The original website link is displayed below the recipe title. Tap the link to open the website directly.

  2. Tap the browser icon within the recipe page to open the recipe in your browser.

💡 Tip: If a recipe isn’t loading correctly in-app, try opening it in your browser for the best view.

Looking back at a photo
If a recipe was saved from photos, the images are stored within the recipe page. Tap on the photo to enlarge it. If multiple photos were saved, you can scroll through all of them.

💡 Tip: Use pinch-to-zoom when a recipe photo includes small text or handwriting.

Watching a video back
Videos saved to Stashcook include the original link. Tap the link to return to the source (e.g., TikTok, Instagram). If the video doesn’t open correctly, tap the Open in browser icon in the bottom-right corner of the recipe page.

💡 Tip: Some platforms (like Instagram or TikTok) may require you to be logged in to view the video again.

Other sources (text, voice notes, etc.)
For recipes saved as text or voice notes, the content is transformed into a recipe format within Stashcook. Once the recipe is created, the original text block or note is no longer shown separately.

💡 Tip: You can always edit or update the recipe in Stashcook if you’d like to keep extra details from your original note.

✅ That’s it! Now you know how to look back at the original recipe content depending on its source.
